DIGITAL CRAFTS
During our 3D scanning project, we had the opportunity to delve into the possibilities of 3D scanning technology. Initially, we scanned a mushroom to better understand the object's intricate details and structure. This allowed us to see the benefits of 3D scanning for scientific research, as it offers a non-invasive way to explore the characteristics of various organisms. As we progressed, we turned our attention to the architecture department and decided to scan a neglected corner. This allowed us to explore the capabilities of 3D scanning for creating digital models of physical spaces, which can be used for various purposes such as design, preservation, and documentation. Overall, this project gave us a greater appreciation for the versatility of 3D scanning and its potential applications in various fields.

BETWEEN IN AND OUT
Our project on projection aimed to explore the possibilities of using projections as a medium for artistic expression and spatial manipulation. To achieve this, we began by scanning a space at our architecture department and then projected this scan onto a different space within the same building. After careful consideration, we decided to project under the stairwell, as we thought it would be interesting to highlight a space that is often overlooked. To further enhance the experience, we manipulated the scan by implementing a video of people walking up and down the stairs, creating a subtle reference to the act of climbing stairs. This project allowed us to experiment with projection as a medium and to consider the potential of projecting onto unconventional surfaces in order to create unique and immersive experiences.
